POST/v1/trips/{trip_id}/locations

Send a location

Send the vehicle’s latest position. Followers on the trip page see the marker move within a second. Send as often as every 2 seconds; we keep the most recent fix and the full path.

Authentication

Send your API key as a bearer token. Keys are per environment; test keys work right away.

Body parameters

latnumberRequired

Latitude, WGS84.

lngnumberRequired

Longitude, WGS84.

headingnumberOptional

Degrees from north, 0–359. Rotates the vehicle marker.

speednumberOptional

Metres per second. Used for ETA smoothing.

recorded_atstringOptional

ISO 8601 time the fix was taken. Defaults to receipt time.
